General Flammability Warning about some of the components in the products that Jeffco Fibres, Inc. manufactures for FindMyMattress.com

As a manufacturer/distributor of consumer products that contain polyurethane foam, latex foam, or polyester fiber, we find it necessary to provide our customers with warnings that concern the potential hazards that are the inherent nature of some of the materials that are used in several of the products we offer.

If exposed to open flame or any other sufficient heat source urethane foam will burn. Once ignited, urethane foam will rapidly burn releasing heat and consuming oxygen at a high rate. If this occurs in an enclosed space, the deficiency of oxygen will present a danger of suffocation. Hazardous gases are also released by the burning foam. These gases can be incapacitating or fatal to human beings. Urethane foam is difficult to extinguish once ignited. Foam fires may smolder and appear to be out but can reignite. Always have fire officials determine if the fire has been extinguished.

Do not expose latex foam to open flames or any other high temperature ignition sources. Once ignited, Latex Foam will burn rapidly and will release heat and consume oxygen at a high rate. Hazardous gases are also released by the burning foam. These gases can be incapacitating or fatal to human beings.

Do not expose polyester fiber to open flames or any other high temperature ignition sources. Once ignited, Polyester Fiber will burn rapidly and will release heat and consume oxygen at a high rate. Hazardous gases are also released by the burning fiber. These gases can be incapacitating or fatal to human beings.

Please note that these warnings apply to polyurethane foam, latex foam and polyester fiber in general and they should not be construed to mean that our products are any more hazardous than those of any other manufacturer or distributor. Always assume that all polyurethane foam, latex foam and polyester fibers are dangerous once they have been ignited.
